Mother India offers freshly prepared Indian favorites that are cooked to order. Don't come if you're in a hurry ­ you may have to wait, but it's worth it. On the lower floor, checked tablecloths and jarred condiments lend a homey feel. Upstairs, the fireplace blazes in winter and the furnishings are charming antiques.
