Loch Lomond is the largest loch in the United Kingdom, stretching 24 miles long and 5 miles wide. At its deepest point, it reaches over 600 feet in depth. There are nearly 40 islands, some of which are even inhabited. The park is a magnificent natural haven. You may see over 200 species of birds and a fourth of the plants found in this country are found in this park. The beauty of the Loch Lomond Park is so overwhelming that many famous writers such as Wordsworth, Hopkins, (and even Queen Victoria) have addressed its beauty in their work.
